HTC Touch HD

The original HTC Touch was the original touchscreen mobile, the first mobile to really use touchscreen tecnology in they way we now know it only to be kicked into the shade by the arrival of the Apple iPhone soon after it’s release. Well the HTC Touch’s bigger, meaner, older brother is here an he’s looking for revenge.

HTC Touch HD

The HTC Touch HD is HTC’s follow-up to the Touch and it’s pretty clear to anyone who knows the original that this new edition is a much improved model. The 3.8″ WVGA screen packs in 480×800 pixels and delivers awesome picture quality, stunningly clear and sharp. The touchscreen interface is provided by HTC’s TouchFlo system and it works fluidly.

Every self-respecting mobile phone has a camera in today’s world and the Touch HD is no different, it packs in a 5 megapixel camera, which gives a gret quality photo and punches above it’s weight.

Other features include HSDPA, bluetooth, WiFi and a FM radio tuner. The Touch HD also includes on-board GPS which integrates with Google Maps, HTC proudly baost that Google Maps looks awesome on this mobile and they’re not lying. The Touch HD is definitely one of the best exhibitors of GPS within a mobile phone to date.

If there is a weak point in the Touch HD’s armoury it is the limited amount of on-board memory at just over 500MB bu this can be upped using the SD slot.

The Touch HD is a great looking phone with HD quality screen and a good camera, it’s not feature packed but is a strong entry into the touchscreen mobile market.

Samsung P520

The samsung P520 is a stunning addition to the world of touch screen mobiles and with Giorgio Armani styling this phone is a thing of beauty.

Samsung P520

This mobile packs a 2.6? touch screen which is easy to use although sometimes a little slow to react. The mobile is stylishly small and thin but still very usable and the screen is big enough for ease of use.

On the camera front it has a decent 3.0 megapixel camera to go with it’s good looks. On the downside this touch screen mobile has no wi-fi or 3G and that means it’s a bit of a non-started for web-browsing as well as trailing behind many rivals on the 3G front.

Really it depends what you want from your mobile as to whether the Samsung P520 is fo you. If you want a fashion phone that looks stunning then it could be for you but if you want a feature packed iphone-esque mobile then this one is going to leave you feeling a little short-changed.
